My client, a Galway City based software organisation, seeks to hire a new Revenue Assurance Analyst on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will join a wider group of finance experts within a global centre of excellence environment. You will be responsible for reviewing contracts and providing guidance to the wider revenue team in a consultative role. You will also support the monthly and quarterly accounting close cycles, as well as assist with the preparation of reconciliations and related analysis of assigned revenue/cost of sales accounts monthly. This is a permanent role based in Galway City, 3-4 days onsite with an attractive salary, bonus, and benefits package.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for supporting the Technical Revenue Accounting (TRA) function for the company, which includes accounting guidance for all agreements.
2. Working knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC, ASC, ASC).
3. Assist with the preparation of reconciliations and related analysis of assigned revenue/cost of sales accounts on a monthly basis.
4. Assist with defining and creating operating procedures and participate in business process improvement initiatives related to revenue accounting activities.
5. Support the monthly and quarterly accounting close cycles.
6. Work closely with the Revenue Accounting team and other groups, such as Sales & Operations, Business Development, FPA, and Order Management.
7. Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting critical timelines.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or CPA) with PQE - Essential.
2. Understanding of control frameworks and best-in-class processes - Desired.
3. Strong US GAAP essential with a focus on ASC - Desired.
4. Experience of using an ERP system, preferably SAP - Desired.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, taking a proactive approach to address issues and avert conflict.
6. Ability to coordinate across multiple teams to achieve results.
7. Strong experience in Excel required; comfortable dealing with large volumes of data.
8. Strong time management skills and ability to work on critical items with a sense of urgency.
9. Highly organised, self-motivated, team player with excellent diplomatic abilities.
