Assistant Manager - MayoThe main purpose of the role:Ensure the store`s fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offerings at all times.The ideal candidate will have/be:2 years experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable1 year experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirableExcellent communication skillsGood delegation skillsAn understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targetsPassion for fresh food.Main duties:Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriatelySet, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with the Store ManagerControl stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budgetFoster good working relationships among the teamHold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the teamManage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragementDeal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistently with store policyManage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departmentsEnsure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and follow relevant store planograms and guidelines.
