Group Financial Accountant We are partnering with a leading construction and property company in Ireland to recruit an experienced Group Financial Accountant.
This is a Senior appointment working closely with the CFO, CEO and Executive Management team and play a key role in strategic decision-making.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team at their Cork Head Office, focusing on the financial management of Property Investment and Property Development business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including budgets and forecasts. Analyse key financial metrics such as revenue, costs, profit, cash flow, and return on investment. Model various financial scenarios to support strategic investment decisions. Prepare detailed quarterly reports for asset advisors, bank reports, and board meetings. Oversee the annual audit process, liaising with administrators and auditors, and ensuring timely completion of statutory financial statements. Prepare and update annual and monthly cashflow budgets and forecasts for the development group. Manage financial models for ongoing and future development projects, including cost analysis. Ensure compliance with Revenue regulations and financial policies. Support the finance department with ad hoc duties as needed to facilitate business growth.
Skills & Experience Required:
Fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience. Industry experience in property or construction is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A proactive, positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
