We are more than tradition, more than quality, more than meat and more than a job.As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food production facilities. You will be responsible for conducting both preventative and reactive maintenance on our machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. By using your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our operations.Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation and prolong lifespan, to include mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential mechanical, electrical, or structural issues and take corrective actions. Collaborate with production teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to production. Attend breakdowns as required in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, recommend and implement appropriate solutions. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment performance metrics. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase equipment reliability. Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize production losses. Train and upskill operatives on best practice for operation and care of equipment. Requirements A min level 5 qualification in Maintenance or Engineering in either Mechanical or Electrical Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the food production industry Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Computer Literacy is essential with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Organized, energetic and self-motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
