Full job description They are now on the lookout for a Health & Safety Officer to work on various projects in the Leinster region. This is a full-time permanent position within the company. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular site audits, both formal and informal, and conduct necessary inspections as outlined in the Safety Management System and relevant legislation. Maintain up-to-date records of statutory inspections for all activities and equipment. Communicate with site supervisors about deficiencies, needed improvements, and report findings to the EHS manager. Investigate incidents and accidents, recording them in the HSMS. Assist with site inspections by the Health & Safety Authority as needed. Conduct Health & Safety inductions for new employees and contractors on site. Manage and recommend Personal Protection Equipment requirements. Represent the site at H&S-related weekly meetings and take minutes. Organize and lead Safety Meetings for contractors and sub-contractors. Ensure availability and review of sub-contractor safety statements, relevant documents, and Method statements on site, providing assistance as needed. Assist Site Management in drafting and communicating RAMS. Compile, update, and communicate site Emergency Plans. Liaise with main contractors and their site safety teams. Key Skills: Recognized EHS Qualification. Minimum of 3+ years of experience. Previous experience with Civil Contractors on construction sites is highly advantageous. Ability to multi-task across various sites. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Valid Irish drivers license. Valid SAFE PASS and Manual handling certificates. Valid working permit. Team player with strong collaborative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Skills: Occupational Health and Safety communication skills.
