The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple infrastructure projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the commercial management of infrastructure projects, including cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize financial risks across projects. Prepare and review tender submissions, contract negotiations, and project proposals. Manage the preparation of accurate valuations, applications for payments, and variations. Ensure the timely and accurate submission of cost reports and forecasts to senior management and clients. Monitor project performance against budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and commercial targets are met. Work closely with project teams to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial objectives. Advise on contract terms and conditions, helping to resolve any contractual issues or disputes that arise. Manage subcontractor and supplier negotiations and agreements, ensuring best value for the company. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. Mentor and lead a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff, providing guidance and development opportunities. Key Requirements: At least 5-7 years' experience in a Commercial Manager role, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects. In-depth knowledge of commercial contract law, procurement practices, and financial management in construction. Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for civil engineering projects. Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in managing project finances and reporting tools. Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving approach to managing commercial challenges.
