About the Role
An opportunity exists for a motivated and proactive surveyor to join the Mine Surveyor Team at Boliden Tara Mines. This is a key position reporting directly to the Head of Section for Mine Planning & Scheduling.
In this role you will be using modern survey instruments, scanners and drone technology to undertake survey measurements of excavations in our underground mine.
Main tasks are:
1. Prepare and issue instructions to the mining crews
2. Mine surveying and markups for excavation and drill rig navigation
3. Support to mine geology with set out and surveying of drillholes for grade control drilling
4. Providing accurate data and volume calculations for End of Month/Year process
5. Participating in weekly/monthly planning meetings as required
6. The proper utilisation of drone/scanner technology to capture data
7. Update survey data (cad) and survey control database
Skills and Capabilities:
1. A Level 8 degree in surveying or other relevant education, with at least 2 years’ experience
2. Experience with modern mine surveying instruments and software, and mine planning software
3. Specialist knowledge/previous experience in underground Mine Surveying preferable.
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Excellent communication (English verbal and written), organisation and interpersonal skills

1. Staff position with normal workweek Monday to Friday
