Job Description
To assist the Community Services Managers in developing, implementing, and delivering quality customer-focused and cost-effective support to service users.
This includes providing individual programs and activities to meet the needs, choices, and abilities of service users, as well as contributing actively towards Stewarts Community's involvement in expanding service provision within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Practice Nursing: Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) and Professional Clinical Guidelines.
2. Work within Scope: Maintain a high standard of professional behavior and be accountable for practice. Be aware of ethical policies and procedures which pertain to the area of practice.
3. Respect Confidentiality: Respect and maintain the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient.
4. Follow Authority: Follow appropriate lines of authority within the Nurse Management structure.
5. Deliver Care: Deliver the nursing care of an assigned group of Service Users within a best practice/evidence-based framework.
6. Manage Caseload: Manage a designated caseload.
7. Promote Health: Promote the health, welfare, and social wellbeing of Service Users within our services.
8. Participate in Teamwork: Actively participate as a multi-disciplinary/inter-disciplinary team member in all aspects of service delivery including case conferences, clinical meetings, team meetings.
Requirements:
* Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the RNID Division.
* Minimum 1 year's experience in Intellectual Disability or willingness to develop skills in this area.
* High level of communication skills, able to work within a team, and provide high-quality focused care.
* Strong command of English language (both verbally and written) and eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Proficient in IT and possessing an up-to-date, valid Irish Driving Licence.
