Pre-Construction Technical Lead - Data Centres

Falcon Green are currently working alongside an international principal contractor who carry out a wide range mission critical projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe on a senior hire for their growing data centre team. Due to continued growth in this division, they are now recruiting a brand new position within the company – Senior Bid & Preconstruction Manager to head up their Bid Management, Tenders and Preconstruction activities.
This role would be focused on the data centre market, one the largest and most profitable divisions within the company due to long lasted relationships with some of the sectors biggest clients. The ideal candidate must come from an MEP background, have a proven record of delivering large DC builds, have worked on various tenders previously and possess strong client, stakeholder and team management skills.

* Reportable to the Managing Director of Data Centre division you will be responsible for all pre-contract operations.
* Manage and Coordinate all aspects of pre-contract activities primarily bid management, tenders and preconstruction design.
* Lead the bid management process to ensuring tenders are delivered on time and to expert level.
* Oversee and give foresight on design and engineering solutions in line with clients demands.
* Identify risks and ensure mitigation.
* Develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders.
* Assist in management resourcing for projects.
* Responsible for identifying key project opportunities.
* Proven capability in managing and winning, multi-million-pound tenders.
* Ideally has a background in tendering and experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to successful acquisition of project.
* Must be comfortable working at a senior level and interacting with customers at CEO/Director Level.
* Have expert understanding over commercial and risk aspects of construction.
* Possess strong client, stakeholder and team management skills.
* Must be an excellent communicator.
* Must come from an MEP background.
* Flexible to travel IRE/UK/EU as and when needed.
