Financial Accountant Full Time/Permanent

About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a challenging yet rewarding experience with our company.
You will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for covering all aspects of the Finance function, including assisting with the production of monthly management accounts, calculation of accruals and prepayments, and maintenance of key schedules such as the fixed asset register and intercompany accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist in the timely production of monthly management accounts for all companies within the Group.
* Calculation of accruals and prepayments for the Group.
* Maintenance of key schedules such as fixed asset register, prepayments & accruals and intercompany accounts.
* Responsibility of all Balance Sheet movements.
* Assist in the preparation of the Group's annual financial statements and annual audit.
* Assist in preparation of group corporation tax and group VAT returns.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators for the Group.
* Assist in the monitoring of financial controls for the Group and assist in internal audit activities as required.
* Maintenance of nominal ledger including transaction auditing, journal posting and expense coding.
* Assist with ad hoc investigations and reports, while ensuring that scheduled reports are produced and circulated in accordance with agreed deadlines.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2 years previous industry experience.
* Previous experience of supervising or managing a team.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Excellent Attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Competent in IT i.e. Microsoft office, and in particular, extensive experience with Excel.
