About the Role
We are seeking a talented individual to lead the proactive development of integrated solutions that drive sustainable growth and profitability for Kerry's bakery business in Europe.
You will manage the technical development activities related to allocated key Bakery accounts, ensuring that all products developed are appropriate to the specific application.
You will actively engage in the development of pro-active NPD presentations - Prototype and supporting documents.
You will assist and support other team members in day-to-day activities and champion internal collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
Apply Kerry technologies, such as inclusions, enzymes, emulsifiers, flavour and other ingredients in above mentioned Baked goods.
Using Bakery processing machinery like Mixer & Oven.
Upscaling of laboratory experiments to assist in industrial production in customer's premises.
Collaboration
Build strong relationships with all Internal & External stakeholders ensuring smooth project management.
Documentation
Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, standards, and project timelines, any competitive analysis & shelf life studies.
Ensure all results are captured. Recorded and filed to ensure availability for future projects.
Customer Engagement
Develop strong relationships with Bakery customers their marketplace and dynamics involved.
Provide them with technical knowledge, experience and support when required.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Baking Science & Technology or Bakery & Patisserie Technology or Food Science or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food product development, preferably in the bakery industry.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
Technical knowledge & operational experience across various bakery Products – Bread, Biscuits, Muffins, Cakes.
Skills
Understanding of new product development process including scale up to market.
Bakery Application Experience.
Good knowledge on Bakery Ingredients & its application.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
Work well in an ambiguous setting; self-motivated; proactive.
Good presentation and project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines met.
Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment by trouble shooting and problem solving.
Desire and willingness for continuous learning.
Work Environment
This position requires working in both laboratory and production environments.
Occasional travel to production facilities, customers and industry conferences will be required.
