Head of Operations- Public Sector At Staffline Recruitment we are partnering with our client, a public sector body who have experienced significant growth and change in recent years.
As part of their growth and expansion they have an indefinite contract available for a Head of Operations to join their organisation.
This position will be based in Dublin City Centre with a hybrid working model with a very flexible blend of office based and remote working.
The successful candidate can be located anywhere in the Republic of Ireland but will be required to attend the office in Dublin as and when required.
The purpose of this role will be to ensure the organisation's operations are capable and agile in effectively delivering programme commitments while also providing excellent customer service to customers, users and partners.
Working in the area of Social Inclusion and Employment, the successful candidate will head up a department and an existing team who are expert leaders in programme ad funding management and also in the delivery of excellent and continuously improving services that meet the needs and expectations of our partners.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring programme's financial management, service model and delivery being applied is customer focused and reflects a strong commitment to quality standards and service excellence.
* Considering and addressing key stakeholders as partners and resources to service delivery.
* Managing clear deliverables, standards and key performance indicators that are being applied to programme financial management and service delivery and reporting to relevant committees as required.
* Applying active risk management to programme financial management and service delivery and provide for service continuity.
* Manage the appropriate and timely escalation and resolution of risks and issues.
* Ongoing oversight and monitoring of annual budgets and reporting to Financial Control Unit on same.
* Overseeing and reporting to various stakeholders of financial information on a monthly basis (e.g's Management Accounts and PQ's)
* Contributing to clear costed business plans addressing service delivery, alignment, and improvement.
* Working proactively and constructively with peers and organisational leadership in developing and aligning business capabilities that meet the organisation's strategic objectives.
* Critically appraising, shaping, and improving programme financial management, service model and delivery.
* Actively promoting and addressing an active and strategic approach to customer and stakeholder engagement.
* Effectively assessing and addressing changing requirements and lead in change management.
* Provide credible, agile, and open leadership to direct reports.
* Foster a culture that promotes ethical practice and commitment to service excellence and customer experience.
* Plan for continuity and succession in key roles.
* Ensure credible and effective relationships are established and maintained with stakeholders such as business partners and customers.
Interested candidates will meet the following requirements: * Personal application, critical thinking, presentational capability and recognised accounting qualification as represented through a third level qualification to Level 9 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications, or equivalent.
* Whilst experience and performance track record are key determinants, ideally would have additional, relevant professional qualification (e.g., in business, management, service development/delivery, process improvement, project management 5+ years experienced in financial management and programmes finances.
* Strong experience of cross-business delivery management.
* Proven track record of service delivery excellence in a consumer environment.
* Proven track record in service planning, delivery, and improvement.
* Evidence of the production of high-quality reports and written materials.
* Highly Proficient in use of MS packages e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Project,
* PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics CRM; SharePoint8 applications and portals.
This role will be offered with a salary scale ranging from €86,000 - €108,000, depending on experience along with an attractive suite of benefits.
