Project Engineer - Pharmaceutical
Team Horizon seeks a Project Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical company in Mayo.
The Project Engineer oversees projects associated with Process Improvements, Automation, Aseptic processing, and New Processing equipment installations with facility/utility modifications.
This role ensures Projects meet their agreed goals/targets on time. The E&T Engineer reports directly to the Senior Manager of Engineering, who provides guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to deliver processing equipment within planned timelines and scope.
2. Processing equipment includes packaging, assembly, inspection, autoclaves, RABS & Isolator Filling machines, LAF units, compounding skids, vessels, etc.
3. Write User Requirement Specifications.
4. Select vendors and complete vendor evaluation matrices.
5. Write RCE's, place orders, manage project meetings, and design reviews.
6. Work according to ASME BPE Standard and relevant ISPE Guidelines.
7. Coordinate equipment installation and services hook-ups with vendors and engineering personnel.
8. Lead factory acceptance testing programs with project teams.
9. Coordinate all equipment documentation requirements.
10. Commission equipment and provide engineering support during qualification.
11. Collaborate with the E&T Senior Manager, System Owner/Project Team.
12. Handover training, coordinate O&M manuals, spare parts, and PM schedules.
13. Contribute to technical problem-solving forums related to product manufacture and aseptic fill.
14. Deliver process improvement and cost reduction projects.
15. Hold regular weekly/bi-weekly project review meetings with your team.
16. Attend bi-weekly E&T Tier 2 meetings with your manager.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Experience in the Biologics, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical device industry.
* Minimum 2-5 years' experience.
* Proven project management skills.
* A self-starter with technical ability.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a multi-functional project team setup.
* Ability to work independently, articulating and delivering specific functional requirements.
* Good team leadership skills and ability to collaborate with various departments.
