The Role
Responsibilities:
* Develop new features on and maintain our existing Android application (Kotlin language)
* Identify and rectify performance issues within the application
* Adhere to coding standards
* Write technical documentation
* Contribute to ReactJS app development when required (ideal)
Requirements:
* Minimum of four years of professional experience in Android development or equivalent experience in another language
* Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Gradle, Android Studio, Android SDK
* Proficient in troubleshooting with a strong problem-solving aptitude
* Be confident and comfortable working on your own codebase
* Experience working with git
* Familiar with SOLID design principles
* Near native proficiency in English
* Ability to travel to London once per quarter
The ideal candidate will:
* Experience with ReactJS (or similar) for contributing to web project
* Have at least one year working in a SCRUM team
* Be very comfortable with Kotlin
* Have experience working with at least one of the following languages: React, PHP, Swift
* Be comfortable working in a Linux terminal
* Have experience working with SQLite or Postgres
* Enjoy working in a small, agile team
* Have experience writing automated tests
* Be willing to work in other technologies when required
* Be based in Ireland and be willing to attend the Dublin office when required
* Be eager to contribute to a positive team environment by information sharing & supporting teammates
