Position Overview
The Compliance Coordinator will join the compliance team and be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across construction, property management, and development operations. This role involves managing planning and building control compliance, coordinating financial contributions and council bonds, overseeing utility and infrastructure compliance, and ensuring adherence to tenancy regulations. Additionally, the role includes general administrative duties to facilitate smooth operations across the business.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience in construction compliance, property management, or a related field.
This position is 100% office based in Dublin 15.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management
1. Planning & Building Control Compliance:
o Ensuring adherence to Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR), including documentation, inspections, and certification.
o Tracking planning permissions and ensuring all conditions are met throughout development lifecycles.
2. Financial Contributions & Bonds:
o Coordinating council bonds, financial contributions, and levies required for developments.
o Managing payments and tracking bond releases with local authorities.
3. Utility & Infrastructure Compliance:
o Handling Irish Water and ESB Networks approvals, ensuring compliance with connection and service requirements.
o Coordinating the Taking in Charge process for completed developments, ensuring compliance with council requirements.
4. Road Opening Licensing:
o Working with the design team securing and maintaining road opening licences.
5. Construction Industry & Safety Compliance:
o Ensuring registration with Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI) and Construction Industry Federation (CIF).
o Overseeing compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and training requirements through liaison with external providers.
o Managing collateral warranties and legal documentation associated with project delivery.
Property & Tenancy Compliance
1. Lease & Rental Administration:
o Managing residential and commercial lease agreements, ensuring legal and contractual compliance.
General Administration & Project Support
1. IT Support & Systems:
o Coordinating IT requirements, including cloud-based systems and day-to-day IT support.
o Overseeing the mobile and data subscriptions.
Key Competencies & Skills
1. Strong knowledge of construction, planning, and property management regulations.
2. Experience managing compliance processes in construction, development, or property sectors.
3. Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
4. Ability to coordinate with local authorities, utility providers, and legal teams.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems.
6. Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Experience in compliance, construction administration, or property management.
2. Familiarity with planning and building control regulations.
3. Knowledge of BCAR, Taking In Charge, Utility Connections, and council bond processes is highly desirable.
