Key Responsibilities:
* Identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts within the workplace and recommend control measures.
* Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
* Deliver training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and quality issues, developing and implementing corrective actions.
* Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational health issues and promote employee well-being.
* Ensure adherence to local and regional regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address SHEQ concerns.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills as needed.
* Promote a culture of SHEQ excellence throughout the organization.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SHEQ processes.
**Qualifications:**
* A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental is an advantage.
* Proven experience as an EHS Officer or in a similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry.
* Strong analytical skills to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train employees and collaborate across departments.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
