Culinary Connoisseur Wanted
We are seeking an inspirational and enthusiastic Senior Chef to join our team at BaxterStorey Ireland. As a culinary connoisseur, you will have a passion for the culinary arts and a desire to create masterful dishes that delight the senses.
In this role, you will oversee pastry production for our bakery support kitchen, which supports our Limerick locations and client sites. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality products, monitoring wastage and portion control, and managing staff to achieve excellence.
You will also be involved in menu development and innovation, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporating new ideas into menus. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and Execution: Oversee pastry production, manage inventory, and monitor wastage and portion control.
* Staff Management: Recruit, train, and provide feedback to staff to achieve excellence.
* Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor and manage stock levels, implementing sensible approaches to ordering supplies.
* Customer Relations: Interact with customers and colleagues to understand their specific catering needs and preferences.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and food safety protocols/policies.
* Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, reporting on financial performance and implementing cost savings.
* Menu Development and Innovation: Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menus.
* Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation processes.
Qualifications:
* Proven Experience: Commensurate with the role, preferably in a senior chef position.
* Creative Culinary Skills: Excellent skills in pastry production and a passion for innovative cuisine.
* Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve excellence.
