International Payroll Specialist

The successful candidate will join a Global Life Sciences Company in Cork, Ireland, as part of their Shared Services Centre. The role reports directly to the Payroll Manager, Global Financial Solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Month end payroll activities - preparing journals, accruals and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
2. Ensure that monthly and yearly local tax payments and compliance requirements are met.
3. Implement controls to capture changes month on month and reconcile any differences.
4. Schedule and facilitate payroll related meetings and presentations.
5. Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies.
6. Prepare employee and payroll tax payments.
7. Collaborate with HR and Payroll providers to ensure consistent and accurate information flow.
8. Manage the Payroll SPARC system.
9. Work with external providers regarding specific payroll treatment for employees.
10. Assist with internal and external audit to ensure payroll information integrity.
Requirements:
* Professional Qualification with IPASS
* Ms Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel advanced, Oracle and SAP essential
* Effective team-player with energy and enthusiasm

* Ability to work in a multi-functional, multi-cultural environment
* Attention to detail to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
