Health & Safety Manager
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead our site in maintaining the highest standards of safety, ensuring a proactive and collaborative safety culture.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:
* Identifying, assessing, and mitigating health & safety risks to create a safer work environment.
* Maintaining key relationships with external agencies and government bodies while managing all necessary documentation.
* Setting clear H&S objectives, aligned with the company's global and regional goals.
* Leading investigations into safety incidents, ensuring root cause identification and creation of action plans to prevent future occurrences.
* Staying ahead of regulatory changes, keeping the leadership team informed on compliance requirements.
* Working closely with site stakeholders to ensure full adherence to both local and group safety requirements.
* Monitoring safety standards and implementing corrective actions after audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
* Organizing and leading impactful H&S training sessions to upskill staff and ensure compliance.
* Supporting the development and execution of local strategic safety plans that align with the company's global vision.
* Being the architect behind the emergency response strategy.
Your Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can bring fresh energy and a proactive approach to the role. Key requirements include:
* A Higher Diploma (Level 8) or Degree in a relevant field.
* Chartered membership of IOSH (or equivalent).
* At least 4 years of experience in a Health & Safety Manager role.
* Proven success in implementing health and safety management systems.
* Confidence in delivering engaging and informative training to staff at all levels.
* Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* A hands-on approach, with the drive and resilience to lead by example.
