Key Responsibilities
EHS Compliance
* Ensure adherence to all local, state, federal, and international EHS regulations.
* Maintain compliance with industry standards such as OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
* Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, permits, and documentation.
Program Development and Implementation
* Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
* Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations.
* Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability.
Training and Awareness
* Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
* Promote a safety-first culture through regular communication and engagement.
* Ensure employees are informed about hazardous materials, equipment safety, and emergency response.
Incident Management
* Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents and corrective actions in compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
* Implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Inspections and Audits
* Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
* Track and close corrective actions from audit findings.
Collaboration and Leadership
* Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily activities and projects.
* Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
* Support the development of emergency response plans and participate in drills.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 3–5+ years of experience in an EHS role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
