JOB TITLE: Care Team Supervisor
Job Description
* Implementation of quality control procedures
* Attending customer's first call to introduce the care worker to the customer
* Liaising closely with Rostering Care Coordinators to ensure correct customer/care worker matching for new customers
* Covering calls in the event of an existing care worker being unable to do any calls
* Conducting supervisions with staff and reviewing policy and procedures
* Implementing all field-based training programmes
* Reporting changes to care schedules to the Rostering Care Coordinators without delay
* Maintaining up-to-date reporting and recording procedures
* Liaising closely with Care Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Manager, Customers, and Care Workers
* Ensuring rigorous adherence to all Bluebird Care systems
* Assuming responsibility for the efficient running of Care Calls and supporting staff
* Updating and monitoring Staff supervisions on One Touch, our rostering and administration system
* Creating new staff files and briefing them on upcoming in-house courses
* Participating in training and upskilling
* Being familiar with Policy and Guidelines documents
It is essential that the Care Team Supervisor spends 50% of their working week in the field, with the balance being spent in the office to complete necessary administration. The Care Team Supervisor should arrange to vary their hours of work to monitor all care being provided and ensure that care workers feel supported.
The Supervisor should be seen as a supportive role by both care workers and customers.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Essential
* Experience of service provision in the care profession
* Clean driving licence
* Experience in the Health Care industry, having worked as a Health Care Assistant for more than 2 years, and relevant qualifications such as QQI Level 6 and above in Management, Supervisor, or Nursing Degree
Desirable
* Care management experience

* Good working knowledge of Health and Safety and other legal factors

SUMMARY OF POST:
Responsible for the efficient running of care packages and ensuring that all care plans are delivered to a high standard. Work closely with Health Care Workers to offer support and advice around their roles. Implement company policy and procedures and ensure that supervisions are being made. Be a good team player while also being able to work on one's own initiative. The Care Team Supervisor should divide their time between office and field weekly.
