Job Title: Community Service Manager
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (39 hours per week)
Location:
Job Purpose: Responsible for the operational management and ongoing development of services supporting people with complex needs. These are customer-focused and cost-efficient, operating within Person Centred Planning frameworks and processes.
Minimum Education & Experience required:
* A third level qualification in health and social care is essential.
* Management qualifications desirable; holding or working towards a management element is an advantage.
* Full driving licence is essential.
* Experience in the strategic planning, development, and delivery of a wide range of client-focused health and social care services with proven experience of leading and motivating a team with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, logistical, and management skills, and the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal colleagues.
* Experience of working with persons with an intellectual disability and/or dual diagnosis, with management experience in a day resource centre/supported accommodation service setting being an advantage; and the development of relationships with stakeholders and external agencies in the provision of health & social care services; and networks within the local communities.
* Ability to make, develop, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and funders.
* Experience of managing and maintaining a focus on Health, Safety, Hygiene, and good housekeeping guidelines in a service setting and ensuring best practice, including a track record of liaising with service users and their families to ensure best quality of care.
* Experience of budget management and control with strong IT skills.
* Ability to manage complex and challenging services for persons with an intellectual disability and/or a dual diagnosis and behaviours that challenge.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To line manage, plan, develop, implement, and manage appropriate personal development, health, educational, recreational, and occupational programmes within the Resource Centre, in consultation with clients and the Staff team, as directed by senior management.
2. To ensure the delivery of high quality, coordinated, and seamless services by implementing regular quality assurance audits, including regular reviews with service user representatives, NRAC, advocates, key stakeholders, and funding bodies.
3. To plan and develop any other service development proposals as appropriate within the area as directed, for example, home support, respite care, and being proactive in the development of new and innovative initiatives/activities/programmes in consultation with the service users.
4. The recruitment and selection of RehabCare staff and volunteers where appropriate. The line management, support, and development of RehabCare staff. The promotion of teamwork, effective communication, and best practices within the staff group. To participate in, and support, the RehabCare on-call roster.
5. To facilitate the mainstream inclusion of service users into the community whenever possible, reflecting New Directions. To create and maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for service-users, where their needs are at the forefront of the service, striving for the highest standards of public service and customer care.
6. To promote the services of RehabCare within the local community. To coordinate transport for service users, if necessary.
7. To ensure that the highest standards of health and safety, hygiene, and safe service delivery are attained within policy and national legislative frameworks, and that all staff and service users are aware of and operate within these obligations.
8. To represent RehabCare at meetings, seminars, and focus groups as required.
9. To ensure that all policies and procedures of Rehab Group are adhered to and that all administrative processes are completed as necessary, including the administration of the Compass database and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). To ensure that all plant and equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
