Job Description
* The process engineering function plays an integral role in supporting Element Six’s production activities, ensuring processes are under control and performing at specified quality levels.
* This work includes understanding the fundamentals of process engineering, process controls, and continuous improvement.
* You will be the owner of process verification, validation, and improvement.
* You will be responsible for creating, sustaining, and improving processes.
* Identification and control of key process performance parameters and measures, such as:
* Reporting, monitoring, and governance of process control, Cpk.
* Establishing process control limits and ensuring the process is operating within limits and product meets quality requirements.
* Responsible for process capability and performance.
* Identify and implement countermeasures to meet process performance and yield targets.
* Build a deep understanding of process variables and implement root cause analysis to deliver robust solutions.
* You will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and documentation of process specifications, such as:
* Create and maintain process control plans, specifications, and support the creation of standard work instructions.
* Takes ownership of process KPIs, FMEAs, control plans, capability reports, and continuous improvement plans.
* Ensure BoMs and routes are correct and up to date.
* You will be responsible for continuous improvement and process development, such as:
* Focal point for process change control.
* Drive process improvement and cycle time reduction.
* Lead PPS and 3Cs to address process concerns, quality issues, and implement countermeasures.
* Proactively seek out new production technology to deliver step-change advances in process capability.
Qualifications
* A third-level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, or Production Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
* An openness to new technologies and the ability to follow up on these independently.
* A motivated individual with a strong can-do attitude.
* Ability to lead, communicate, and appropriately influence project team members and work with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to relate and work effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all management levels.
