The current vacancy is Whole-time and Permanent within the service. Note: a panel may be created from this campaign for CAMHS Mental Health Services), Dublin South, Kildare and West Wicklow from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration may be filled.
Roles including the following: Senior dietitian supporting physical health monitoring of young people on medication attending a CAMHS team, including ADHD (all co-located in Linn Dara Community CAMHS building, Cherry Orchard campus, Dublin 10). Senior dietitian supporting the senior dietitian in the Community Eating disorder Team.
This position with support young people presenting with an eating disorder attending an eating disorder day programme.
The position will also support the in-patient unit, and supervision will be provided by a clinical specialist. Preference will be stated at interview.
Purpose of Post The Dietician, Senior (CAMHS and Adult mental health services) has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for people attending community services.
The Dietician will be in an exciting position of setting up a new services for community mental health teams, and be a lead on advocating for physical health monitoring within the area, as well as providing an early intervention service to service users presenting with developing and established eating disorders.
The Dietician will work closely with the MDT and lead consultants on each team.
The role of the Dietician, Senior (CAMHS)will include:
Set up and provision of a specialist nutrition and dietetic service specifically for service users experiencing mental health issues. Be a resource and provide expert opinion, advice and guidance to dietetic colleagues and other health care professionals within Community Healthcare Dublin South, Wicklow West and Kildare. The post holder will participate in the development of service level agreements and strategic direction of the Nutrition & Dietetic service in conjunction with the Dietician Manager, Clincial Specialist Dietitain and all relevant agencies and stakeholders within Community Healthcare Dublin South, Wicklow West and Kildare. Be aware of national policy, guidelines and consultations and in conjunction with the Dietician Manager and Clincial Specialist Dietitain, develop local policies and care pathways within this specialist area.
