We are seeking a Field Medical Advisor to join our Irish team, specializing in Nephrology across three disease areas. The successful candidate will act as the product expert, fostering strong networks with key Irish stakeholders. Responsible for in-field engagement, ensuring valuable interactions with key stakeholders on critical projects. This role covers both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and reports to the Medical Lead for Ireland.
The role is hybrid between Field/Dublin Office. Must be located in Ireland.
Responsibilities include:
* Building strong networks with the healthcare community in Ireland, including scientific experts and academic centres in the therapeutic area.
* Participating in the development of the Medical Affairs Plans and supporting the Medical Lead to execute tactics that align with the therapy area’s strategic imperatives, including data generation, medical education, and insight generation activities.
* Providing fair, balanced, non-promotional, and unbiased medical and scientific assistance in relation to specific requests from healthcare professionals (HCPs) for further information on our product portfolio, clinical development program, or disease area(s) of interest.
* Initiating and running scientific meetings, advisory boards, and 1:1 meetings on a local level.
* Acting as a medical resource for the company, working with the local cross-functional team to support company products or therapeutic area.
* Providing medical/scientific support and training for internal staff.
* Maintenance of own medical and scientific knowledge.
* Adherence to own professional Codes of Practice and engagement with accreditation/revalidation processes as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Qualified pharmacist or PhD or MD.
* Prior industry experience in medical affairs is essential but will consider lesser experience for the person with the right qualities.
* A strong scientific background in medical and biological science is essential.
* Understanding of the wider Irish healthcare environment.
* Knowledge of the Nephrology therapeutic area is preferable.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and is detail-oriented.
* Ability to plan and prioritize own workload.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Results-oriented attitude.
* Independent, self-driven, proactive and dynamic; engaged and motivated personality willing to improve patient experience.
* Strong presentation, networking, and communication skills.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Capable of delivering clear and concise analysis of data.
* Proven ability to work efficiently as part of a brand/cross-functional team.
* Strong understanding of the medical function within a brand team and its strategic contributions.
* An understanding of local Irish compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to long-term planning and execution.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Proactive in problem-solving and decision-making within the medical function.
This role requires a highly motivated professional with a strong strategic approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
