The Quality Manager will take a leadership role in ensuring that Acetech’s products and services meet the highest quality standards, including software solutions, telematics control panels, and fleet management systems. This position involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The Quality Manager will lead cross-functional teams to exceed customer expectations and foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
* Develop, implement, and oversee the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
* Lead internal audits to ensure adherence to quality protocols and standards.
* Collaborate with teams to address nonconformance and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure proper documentation, release of processes, and their audit readiness.
Product Quality Assurance
* Supervise quality assurance activities across hardware production (control panels) and software development.
* Oversee inspections of raw materials, components, and final products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Manage software validation processes, including automated testing systems.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Analyse quality data to identify trends, defects, or areas for improvement.
* Present detailed reports on quality metrics and corrective actions to senior management.
* Utilise root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D methodology) to resolve systemic issues.
Process Improvement
* Lead process improvement initiatives in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
* Implement lean methodologies to reduce waste and variation in manufacturing processes.
* Drive robust new product introductions using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Customer & Supplier Collaboration
* Act as the primary point of contact for addressing customer complaints, managing resolutions, and overseeing the RMA process.
* Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to Acetech’s quality standards.
* Maintain open communication with stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Leadership Responsibilities
* Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering their growth and development.
* Provide training on quality standards, tools, and methodologies across departments.
* Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational teams on all matters related to quality assurance.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management or engineering roles within an ISO 9001 environment.
* Experience with telematics or automotive systems is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
* Expertise in QA tools such as Six Sigma techniques and lean methodologies.
* Strong analytical skills for advanced root cause analysis and problem-solving.
* Proficiency in software testing processes and tools is an advantage.
* Exceptional leadership abilities with strong project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Certifications
* ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent certification is preferred.
