With the Digital Collections team, the NLI's Head of Digital Collections cares for more than 4.5 terabytes of data, with responsibility for software development, ICT Helpdesk, cyber security and business continuity and contingency; in addition to maximising the opportunities presented by our current capital development works.
Reporting to the Director of the National Library of Ireland, the successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous development of our digital services and infrastructures. This includes innovative and collaborative pilots in collecting, preserving and making available unique hybrid collections in addition to born-digital material. The NLI's Head of Digital Collections also plays a key advocacy role in relation to legislative requirements enabling the NLI to deliver on its mission to collect, protect and make available the recorded memory of Ireland.
