The role of the product management organization is focused in three core areas; execution and delivery of product approved projects for new and ongoing initiatives, support business development activities, and support the execution and maintenance of the target operating model.
The Product Management team consists of product line and application subject matter experts as well as Product owners, Managers and business analysts that will engage with business line owners, business development, client services, CSM, IT, product development and project management office for setting and agreeing guidance, direction and prioritization of initiatives.
* Collaborate across stakeholder groups to generate and document business requirements for development.
* Understand application systems development throughout the full product lifecycle, working with all stakeholders to ensure on-time deliverables and help manage end user expectations.
* Develop a positive and professional business relationship with internal as well as external users.
* Elicit, document, and maintain requirements including system interviews, functional narratives and detailed Use Cases and Use Case Scenarios.
* Plan and lead the business processes development and improvement sessions resulting in a full understanding of the “As-Is” and “To-Be” business processes.
* Responsible for data schema and data mapping of requirements.
* Lead the verification of the design against the requirements and make recommendations to resolve any issues.
* Creation of supporting product documentation.
* Create and maintain effective communication within Product team and across the involved business lines.
* Ensure a pro-active approach is used to resolve current and future problems.
* Develop scope and define backlog items (epic/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
* Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so they are clearly understood by stakeholders and the development teams.
* Work with the UX team to ensure that UX and user stories are fully aligned.
* Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integrations and dependencies.
* Regularly demo the product to stakeholders as development progresses. Gather feedback and disposition as appropriate.
* Ensure the implemented product meets platform and end-user requirements and is secure.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 10+ years of work experience gathering requirements is a must have.
* Writing test documentation and procedures, tracking errors and documenting test results is nice to have.
* Demonstrates expertise in extracting business requirements using standard methodologies and procedures.
* Experience with system analysis and documenting all aspects of business processes and data mapping.
* Experience working in the alternative investment fund services is preferred.
* Experience working with banking and alternative investment fund services systems like Geneva, ManTra and Investran is preferred.
* Experience with client facing portal development is preferred.
* Expert proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is nice to have.
* Business and Process Analysis knowledge, particularly on workflow/data flow management.
* Exposure to Waterfall, Agile and hybrid methods are an advantage.
