Job Description
The Accounting & Operations Department is responsible for a broad range of functions, including: fund accounting; operations; position, P&L and exposure reporting; valuation; risk management design and reporting; and liquidity management.
This individual will be responsible for European loan asset administration, including daily cash account and position reconciliations, tracking and applying interest accruals, rate resets, paydowns, and monthly tie out of data files with the Trustee. This individual will also provide operational support including, but not limited to, setting up investments and issuers in OMS, coordinating financing for CLO warehouses, monthly accruals and price verification of European CLO portfolios.
Responsibilities to include:
1. Perform daily portfolio reviews and reconciliations with the trustee and administrative providers
2. Reconciliation of monthly CLO reporting and quarterly distributions
3. Monitor portfolio corporate actions and ensure the proper actions and updates are done internally and with service providers
4. Closely monitor deal and warehouse cash balances and perform calculations for warehouse fundings and prepare drawdown requests
5. Involvement in new issue CLO warehouse management, closing date, and effective date procedures and ongoing coordination with audit and tax teams
6. Support Research and Trading teams in CLO transactions, including new issue, resets, & refinancings
7. Working with fund accountants and administrators to resolve any bank loan related inquiries or discrepancies
8. Assisting with ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis as assigned
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent is required
2. 4-6 years of Bank Loan and/or CLO Structured Credit experience
3. Knowledge of Virtus/Nexus and Wall Street Office is a plus
4. Understanding of Credit Agreements, Indentures, funding memos, agent notices and LSTA/LMA trade documentation
5. Loan administration including interest and principal payments, cash and positions tie outs
6. Strong analytical and Excel skills with the ability to handle large data sets
7. Attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, resolve issues, and escalate when appropriate
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player
9. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
10. Knowledge of Wall Street Office is a plus
11. Must be highly motivated and able to work in global team environment
12. Able to work well under pressure
