Job Overview
eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Cyber Security Project Manager. This is a day rate contractor position located with our client in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days on site per week.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and oversee cyber security projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope.
* Collaborate with IT, security teams, and business stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
* Manage budgets, resources, and risks associated with security initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with security regulations and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and CMMC.
* Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and work with technical teams to implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive security awareness and best practices.
* Track project progress and generate reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
* Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned for future improvements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or a Business-Related field.
* Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) required.
* Cyber Security certification (CompTIA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) is mandatory.
* Proven experience in managing cyber security projects within enterprise environments.
* First-hand experience of implementing Asset Management, Supplier Management and Threat detection platforms is required.
* Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
* Strong knowledge of accepted Risk Management best practice.
* Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and attention to detail.
* Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is a plus.
Desirables:
* Master’s degree in Cyber Security, IT Management, or a related field.
* Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IAM, DLP, and firewalls.
* Familiarity with cloud security and DevSecOps principles.
