Our Client is Ireland's Leading premier container terminal based in Ringsend Dublin. They are currently looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter to join their site based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will be working within a well-established Maintenance Team across a rolling shift pattern to carry out reactive maintenance efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Job Responsibilities:
* Complete planned and reactive maintenance work in an effective and safe manner.
* Carry out hands-on maintenance work on mechanical and electrical plant, machinery and equipment.
* Carry out fabrication work.
* Operate plant and machinery as required.
* Deliver a safe personal working culture.
* Complete the workload as stipulated by the Maintenance Manager.
* Attend to unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets.
* Complete work orders via SAP tablet based Safety Culture system to complete work activity and relevant documentation.
* Report parts and materials deficits via SAP without delay.
* Suggest tactical decisions to the Maintenance manager to stay on schedule.
* Demonstrate commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate.
* Notify Engineer Manager/Team Leader of all operational issues affecting delivery to plan without delay.
* Required to plan own work to minimise time lost.
* Communicate accurate information to the Maintenance manager.
* Foster good relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular the Operations Team.
Job Requirements:
* Time Served of relevant Mechanical experience in a heavy industrial environment.
* National Trade Craft Certificate essential.
* An assertive individual who demonstrates a willingness to progress within the company.
* Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
* Ability to work at Heights.
* A strong understanding of motors and hydraulics.
* Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to use fault-finding diagnostic equipment.
