Job Summary
We are seeking a Building Services Engineer with expertise in energy-efficient design to join our Energy Services team.
The role is a mix of office-based and site-based work, primarily operating from a Dublin office, with occasional flexibility required for working hours.
This position involves energy efficiency design and consulting, client relationship management, contract negotiations, and overseeing professionals, suppliers, and contractors throughout project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design mechanical and electrical systems for office and school projects, including new builds and refurbishments.
* Evaluate energy-efficient designs and manage professionals, contractors, and suppliers.
* Oversee project budgets, including cost tracking and reporting.
* Represent the company at client meetings and manage communication with stakeholders.
* Track project progress, ensuring safety, quality, and completion, including snagging and documentation.
* Manage project completion, including snagging and final sign-off, and ensure all documentation is submitted.
* Collaborate with clients on technical and management matters, building strong working relationships.
* Identify and pursue energy-related project opportunities.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, with experience in Energy Management.
* 5-10 years in a similar role within building services, with experience in managing construction-stage projects.
* Proficiency in HVAC, Building Management Systems, electrical systems, and software like MS Project and Auto CAD.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and experience managing professionals, contractors, and suppliers.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and willingness to travel.
