Job Title: IT Data Center & Network Support Engineer
Fully onsite with our client based in Westport, Co. Mayo.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for network infrastructure maintenance and data centre operations.
* Collaborate with remote technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Required Experience & Skills:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
* Strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and networking fundamentals.
* Assist network and data center administrators (internal, customer, and vendor) during technical troubleshooting.
* Basics of hardware like servers, storage devices, and operating systems (Windows 2003 servers, UNIX, Linux).
* Understanding of monitoring tool outcomes and ITSM tool basics (preferably ServiceNow).
* Basics of backup technologies (EMC Avamar) and operating systems (Windows 2003 servers, Enterprise/Standard Edition).
* Knowledge of Windows 2003 Active Directory structure, MS Exchange 2003, and File/Print Server.
* Experience in SLA-based environments and server performance monitoring.
* Ability to perform IMACD services (installation, move, add, change, and disposal) of data center and network equipment.
* Hands-on experience in large or medium enterprise data centers or hosting sites consisting of servers, storage, and network devices.
Additional Requirements:
* All local language proficiency and communication ability in English is mandatory.
