LGC’s Clinical Diagnostics Business Unit develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalogue and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the extended life sciences industry. We partner with IVD assay developers, and pharmaceutical, CRO and academic institutions in commercialization activities across the entire diagnostic pipeline - from concept and early stage research, through expedited product development and onwards into routine clinical use. Laboratorians and diagnostic professionals across disciplines of clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, serology, molecular diagnostics and clinical genomics rely on LGC’s products to support accurate and reliable diagnostic results.
Our operating entities include Technopath Clinical Diagnostics, which is highly regarded as a leader in the IVD industry, having developed a first-of-its-kind range of consolidated immunochemistry quality control products, The Native Antigen Company, which is a manufacturer and supplier of antigens and antibodies, which are key components in vaccine research, and for the accurate diagnosis of a wide range of infectious diseases, SeraCare Life Sciences and Maine Standards, which are in vitro diagnostics (IVD) manufacturers of quality measurement tools (calibrators, controls, linearity, EQA/PT, biological materials). 7. Co-ordinate and strive to meet excellent GMP/GDP and housekeeping to ensure excellent standards are maintained.
8. Assist in the measuring, monitoring and control the key parameters that drive the team’s performance in its KPIs as agreed with the Production Manager.
9. Raise awareness among your team of the actions they can undertake to deliver improvements in this area e.g., Housekeeping, consumable usage, NCR reductions etc.
10. Give clear and consistent guidance and communication to your team on production plans, timelines, and quality expectations.
11. Promote a culture of excellence by ensuring all product is made to defined quality standards and meets the customer specifications.
12. Ensure that the audit standard is maintained on an ongoing basis.
13. Ensure all product is processed in accordance with customer specs.
14. Delivery of Key Performance Indicators for the area and report on performance of the department with respect to these KPI’s on a consistent basis.
15. Timely identification and resolution of process and production related problems to ensure downtime is minimised and output volumes are met.
16. Completion of work to tight deadlines without comprising on quality of output.
17. Achievement of individual goals and targets.
18. Prompt escalation of production/quality issues as required.
19. Support to operational and sustainability initiatives.
