Job Description:
CPL UK in partnership with our client are seeking an IVF Consultant for a full-time permanent contract with a superb Fertility Clinic in Dublin, Ireland.
This is a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of Fertility Medicine and must have the ability to lead the team to deliver fertility services to the highest standard, with an emphasis on maximizing successful outcomes for patients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the care of patients at the clinic, from consultation to completion of treatment, working to agreed protocols.
2. Lead the team, motivating and inspiring them with exemplary patient care.
3. Take responsibility for day-to-day clinical decisions regarding patient treatment, drug regimens, and timing of procedures, working closely with medical, nursing, and scientific colleagues.
4. Perform egg collection and embryo transfer procedures safely.
5. Maintain accurate and clear medical records in accordance with clinical protocols and procedures at all times.
6. Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of services at the Clinic.
7. Support heads of departments with general operational activity.
8. Provide advice and contribute to the training of clinical, scientific, and administration staff.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Full Medical Council Registration, with eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register in Ireland.
2. Higher Diploma (Fellowship or Membership) of Specialty College MRCOG or equivalent.
3. Proven experience in Reproductive Medicine/Fertility.
4. Must have a valid Right to Work in the Republic of Ireland.
5. Thorough understanding of the scientific evidence underpinning clinical practice as well as an understanding of the work of related disciplines.
6. An understanding and empathetic approach to patient care and the ability to communicate clearly, honestly, and concisely in consultations with patients, including the ability to deliver ‘bad news’ in a constructive and sympathetic manner.
7. Proficiency in transvaginal ultrasound scanning.
8. Ability to mentor and train others in ART skills.
9. An understanding of, and ability to apply, quality assurance and monitoring of clinical performance.
10. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary fertility team, leading and motivating others.
11. A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
1. Subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine.
2. Proficiency in operating laparoscopically, possessing the necessary skills to offer surgical solutions to support the management of sub-fertile patients.
3. An understanding of prevailing EU and national legislation.
4. An appropriate level of managerial experience.
