The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Quality Assurance intern student will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Quality Assurance Department.
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Quality Assurance Student Placement role will make an impact:
* Sampling and inspection of primary / secondary packaging components as per defined company procedures.
* Assist in Vendor Management Program, where required.
* Assist in other quality systems as required (MO issuance, Batch Record Review, Documentation Control, etc.).
* General administrative duties as required (archiving of quality records and documentation, aid in D2 implementation SOP template transfer).
* Assist with the media fill program when required.
* Assist in 6S program.
* Ensure work is carried out safely and in compliance with the organizations quality system. Learn how to generate quality documentation in compliance with the internal organizational procedures and GMP.
* Take ownership and ensure all personally assigned duties are carried out and controlled in line with the internal organizations policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
About Your Skills, Experience & Qualifications
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
KNOWLEDGE
* Knowledge of working within an FDA/HPRA regulated facility preferable but not essential.
* Knowledge of basic computer skills (MS Office).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
* Quality orientated.
SUPERVISION
Position functions with supervision.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Student undertaking a degree/diploma in a relevant science related course. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
None required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed procedures and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
