Job Description
Role Summary:
Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for large-scale Renewable Energy projects, delivering comprehensive reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee EIA processes for renewable energy projects, including EIAR and AA/NIS delivery.
* Provide environmental expertise to support planning teams and inform business strategy.
* Stay updated on changes in planning and environmental legislation.
* Contribute to company submissions as needed.
* Assist with stakeholder communication and consultation plans.
* Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist in procurement processes.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental policies, and EU/National regulations.
* Mentor junior staff in EIA and Appropriate Assessment processes.
* Participate in performance management to achieve team objectives.
Requirements
* Hons Degree (Lvl 8 FETAC) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
* Postgraduate qualification (Lvl 9 FETAC) is a plus.
* 5+ years' experience leading EIAR and AA/NIS preparation for large-scale projects.
* Strong understanding of EIA processes and Irish planning policy/legislation.
* Experience in renewables or related infrastructure projects desirable.
* Technical expertise in ecology, noise, or air quality a plus.
* Experience with projects of varying priorities, risk profiles, and timelines beneficial.
