Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant for the Staff Canteen & Back of House Areas.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday daytime hours (Occasional need to work a weekend shift).

* HACCP knowledge

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present simple staff meals as instructed by the chef (e.g., salads, sandwiches, or light snacks).
* Ensure the staff canteen is clean, well-stocked, and set up for meal services at designated times.
* Staff meals are served on time and in an appropriate manner (Staff can serve themselves but under the supervision and direction of the Staff Canteen Attendant).
* Ensure that all canteen and food service items i.e. pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are available on time as needed.
* Continuous cleaning and sanitization of tables, counters, and serving stations in the canteen.
* Manage and monitor stock levels in the staff canteen, restocking shortages in close cooperation with the kitchen supervisor.
* Setting staff canteen up for the day - Coffee, milk, etc.
* Monitoring & restocking of staff food within appropriate hours.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the canteen and back-of-house corridor from the Hotel manager's office through to the service entrance including IRD area.
* Carry out cleaning duties, including deep cleaning, as outlined in the cleaning schedule for kitchen equipment, dry stores, canteen, and associated areas.
* Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.
