Our client is a leading Hotel based in Sligo (close to Mayo) who currently require an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join their finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Recording revenue and key statistical data from the Property Management System.
2. Processing and checking all purchase invoices and maintaining the creditor ledgers.
3. Liaising with hotel management in monitoring the debtor ledgers.
4. Responsibility for cash management and performing regular reconciliations.
5. End to end income audit - cash, credit card, and bank reconciliation.
6. Creditor Control – Procure Wizard orders, invoice processing.
7. Accounts payable – coding, reconciliations, raising/responding to suppliers’ queries.
8. Payroll.
9. Assisting with Group reporting.
10. Analysis of the bank account and reconciliation on a monthly basis.
11. Maintaining the general ledger, assisting with month-end accounts, bringing to trial balance for preparation of monthly management accounts.
12. Producing a monthly set of accounts in a timely manner.
13. Calculation of key performance indicators.
14. Assisting the FC in the preparation of budgets.
15. Providing support to the Head Office Finance Department as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
1. Experience in finance within the Hospitality sector.
2. Ideally 2 to 4 years solid experience in a busy/fast-paced finance function.
3. Part qualified/Qualified Accountant ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA or similar.
4. Good exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end, assisting with budgets.
5. Good Excel skills and exposure to Sage Line 50 a plus.
6. Operate at the highest level of integrity and transparency.
