Production Planning & Sales & Operational Planning Manager Role
The Production Planning & Sales & Operational Planning Manager is a key role within our organisation, responsible for developing and executing efficient production schedules that align with demand, capacity, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Short-Term Production Planning: Develop and execute efficient 4-week production schedules, considering factors such as labour, skills, changeovers, materials, and capacity.
* Long-Term Planning: Generate a 24-week production plan to provide visibility into demand, capacity, labour, and storage needs, incorporating factors like stock levels, promotions, new launches, and delists.
* Daily Reporting: Provide daily product availability reports to track order fulfilment and communicate potential supply issues.
* Planning Meetings: Chair weekly production planning meetings to present and discuss short-term schedules and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Sales Forecast Review: Collaborate with Sales Managers to review sales forecasts, analyse demand patterns, and develop a 24-week demand plan.
* Capacity Planning: Incorporate storage requirements into the demand plan, identifying potential warehouse capacity constraints.
* Performance Measurement: Track and report on key planning KPIs, including plan adherence, labour utilization, plan changes, finished goods stock levels, order fulfilment, stock aging, and more.
* System Integration: Upload production schedules into the Redzone system for visibility and coordination.
* Seasonal Product Management: Manage production volumes for seasonal products to align with promotional activities and ensure timely completion.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in weekly meat planning and NPD meetings to coordinate production plans with relevant stakeholders.
* S&OP KPI Reporting: Measure and report on S&OP KPIs, such as forecast accuracy, plan attainment, aging stock, and stock cover.
