Main Duties And Responsibilities
The commercial analyst will oversee the analytical running of their dedicated contracts across Ireland, working closely with the wider commercial, finance, and operations teams to deliver overall profitability for the business, client reporting, preparation of financial pricing models for month-end and year-end reporting, and business tool reporting.
1. Oversee and follow up on all weekly and monthly profitability figures associated with your designated client accounts.
2. Overseeing the monitoring and improving Customer KPIs/Profitability.
3. Provide management information that is accurate, timely, accessible, insightful, and robust to improve commercial decision-making.
4. Margin protection and tracking of account growth, maintained through overseeing and conducting monthly commercial performance meetings.
5. Responsible for the Annual Account Budgets & any re-forecasts required. Ensure reporting and monitoring of performance against budget.
6. The role interacts and coordinates activities with Accounts, Operations, Technical, Marketing, Sales, and Procurement.
7. Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed cost analysis reports as required by customers and businesses to ensure accuracy in reported numbers.
8. Roll out best practice commercial finance practices across specific accounts, category management, and financial reporting.
9. Preparation and review of weekly and monthly financial reports.
10. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
1. Ideally, Third Level of Business/Accounting or Commerce Degree.
2. Excel modelling experience.
3. Previous experience in commercial analytics.
4. Strong influencing skills.
5. Working knowledge of Navision is an advantage.
6. Proven track record of results.
7. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as the ability to manage several priorities at once.
8. A high level of flexibility and a high level of commitment to success will also be required.
9. Passionate about delivery and customer service.
10. Excellent PC literacy skills are required.
11. Ability to make informed decisions.
12. Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
