The Role Overview
We are looking for a construction lawyer with between 4 to 6 years PQE who is interested in developing their career in a new and expanding team. Our ideal candidate is technically accomplished, collaborative and solution-focused. We are open to speaking with candidates who have related experience in commercial litigation, property, or with prior career expereince as a quantity surveyors or engineers.
Responsibilities
Advising on both transactional and contentious matters
Managing client engagements with minimal, but supportive, supervision
Dealing with all types of dispute resolution processes, including adjudication, conciliation, mediation, court proceedings and arbitration
Advising on standard form and bespoke construction contracts
Drafting and negotiating development agreements, professional appointments, collateral warranties and ancillary project documents

The Team
The role will be with our dedicated construction team. We work on large and complex construction projects. We advise on project inception, mid-project construction issues and dispute resolution. We are technically excellent and collaborative in our approach. In transactions and non-contentious matters, we are commercially focused and pragmatic in our service delivery. In contentious matters, we look for sensible solutions to dispute resolution through early intervention, and by providing robust representation in mediation, adjudication, conciliation, arbitration and litigation.
Our clients include contractors, developers, funders, investors, suppliers, subcontractors and insolvency practitioners. We advise on projects across a diverse range of sectors, including public sector, commercial property development, data centres, housing and infrastructure.
