NAV Oversight & Operations Analyst
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Are you an experienced fund accounting or investment operations professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are hiring a Fund Accounting Oversight Analyst to join a rapidly growing asset management firm in Dublin.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established and expanding asset management company, managing over €30bn in assets. Operating as both a UCITS Management Company and AIFM, they specialise in fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, and structured solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* NAV Oversight: Develop and manage NAV oversight processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across daily, weekly, and monthly NAVs.
* Fund Performance Monitoring: Analyse fund performance versus expectations and address discrepancies with fund accounting teams.
* Reconciliation & Issue Resolution: Review reconciliations between custodians, administrators, and counterparties, investigating and resolving cash breaks, position breaks, and pricing issues.
* Service Provider Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for investment managers, custodians, and fund administrators on trade settlements, cash flows, distributions, and corporate actions.
* Expense & Budget Management: Oversee fund expense allocations, validate fund service provider fees, and manage fund budget updates.
* Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Work with tax advisors and asset managers to ensure proper application of withholding tax (WHT) and capital gains tax (CGT) rates.
* Operational Process Improvement: Support the firm’s delegate oversight programme and contribute to process enhancements and automation.
Key Requirements
* Education & Experience: A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Business with around 3 years experience in Fund Accounting, Investment Operations, Middle Office, or Custody.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products, fund structures, and financial markets. Prior experience with derivatives and OTC swaps is an advantage.
* Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess and resolve operational issues efficiently. Experience in project management is a plus.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to NAV oversight, reconciliations, and expense management.
* Tech & Systems Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting platforms.
* Proactive & Independent: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
