PE Global is currently recruiting for a Utilities Engineer for a leading multi-national Biologics client based in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract position. Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Utilities Engineer to join the Critical Utilities team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Utilities Operations and Maintenance, the Utilities Engineer will work as part of the team to deliver utility services across the site and support the transition of major capital projects to Operations ownership.
The successful candidate will support the Critical Utility Operations and Maintenance team and System Owners for Utility Systems.
This role will focus on supporting all site Critical Utility systems, for example; boilers, compressors, chillers, water (potable/city/softened etc.
), life safety systems, and Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The role will also support the oversight of the Hard Services Provider.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Working with the Critical Utilities Operations and Maintenance team to maximise Critical Utility equipment.
This will include optimisation and development of plant operation, maintenance plans, standard operating procedures, risk assessments, etc.Ensuring that maintenance standards are set to ensure safe and reliable operations by driving Reliability Excellence.Reviewing vendor documents and reports, and managing the effective close out of Work Orders on site CMMS.Diagnose and troubleshoot Utility system issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.Overseeing service delivery and maintaining and growing relationships with Service Providers in partnership with stakeholders such as Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and Procurement.Ensuring all the operating systems are in compliance with all Regulatory and Legal requirements including EPA licence, Quality (cGDP/GMP's), EHS, Global Engineering, design & construction directives, requirements & procedures.Technical input for Utility O&M during all stages of project development and ensuring key deliverables are met to facilitate hand-over of projects to the Operations team.Participation in regulatory and corporate audits.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: Bachelors (Level 8) or Master's Degree in a relevant Science/Engineering discipline with at least 6 years' experience providing technical expertise on an operating site.Experience in Operating and Maintaining Utility systems in biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility is advantageous.Strong knowledge of Utility system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting with ability to interpret technical documents and process drawings.Broad knowledge of Process Design, Good Manufacturing Practices, Maintenance systems, and industry regulations related to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.Ability to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
