Infineon is recruiting a Senior Staff Engineer in Technical Marketing, for its Automotive PSoC (Programmable System on a Chip) products. We are seeking a talented Engineer who wants to join a dynamic and experienced team and take their technical knowledge to the next level.Job DescriptionYou will define the technical requirements for new PSoC products for applications such as Battery management, Smart Sensing and HMI (Human Machine Interface). You will help bring products into production, support lead customers, interface to the development team and explore new application spaces for our microcontroller products.In your new role you will:Own complete product and system definition for Automotive PSoC MCU’s, whilst working with Customers, Product Marketing, Product Architects, Product Development, Systems, Software and Firmware teams.Own Product Requirements (PRQ’s) for both hardware and software, and be the technical interface to R&D and customers during the product creation phase.Support feasibility studies and review concept/product architecture.Support internal verification and customer validation of prototypes.Review Technical content for the product roadmap and lead technical discussions with lead customers.Provide training and hand over to Applications Engineering.Collaborate with sales, business development, engineering, project management and corporate marketing teams to guide product execution and delivery.Deliver marketing technical content including competitive positioning, white papers, product updates and go-to-market collateral.Drive cross division co-operation.Define products to meet automotive security (ISO 21434) and automotive safety (ISO-26262) up to ASIL-D.Understand/Assess the impact of EMC on the system/application and defining measures to mitigate it.A primary focus will be on Smart sensing and in Battery Management Systems for power management in next generation EVs.Your ProfileYou are best equipped for this task if you have:Bachelor/Masters/PhD Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering.5+ years industry experience.A solid understanding of automotive applications and a track record delivering successful products to the market.Experience in the definition of microcontroller products and a strong knowledge of embedded systems, including software and tools.Strong focus on delivering results to plan.Deep technical knowledge of some of the following: Battery management, Security, Safety, Automotive EMC, CPU sub-systems, Memory architectures, Power management, Capacitive/Inductive and Current sensing.Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, IATF 16494, AEC-Q100, APQP, PPAP.Knowledge of I2C, UART, SPI, CAN and isolated communication protocols with an automotive focus.Experience leading cross functional teams.Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).Willingness to travel for discussions with customers.Beneficial to have a track record of activity at Conferences, other Published Articles, Patents and participation on Standardization bodies.Contact:Daniela Ferreira#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
