Senior Environmental Scientist
Description:
This is an opportunity to join a team of professionals in the field of environmental consultancy. As a Senior Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for project managing the delivery of environmental auditing and due diligence projects.
You will undertake business development activities, prepare tender documents, and ensure the maintenance of new and existing business through client liaison.
Additionally, you will conduct fieldwork, interpret data, and prepare technical reports for companies, environmental agencies, and government bodies.
Your role will also involve liaising with clients, landowners, and statutory consultees, as well as organizing and managing sub-consultants, subcontractors, and third-party contributors to projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Project manage environmental auditing and due diligence projects
* Undertake business development activities and prepare tender documents
* Maintain new and existing business through client liaison
* Conduct fieldwork, including site visits, sampling, and investigations
* Interpret fieldwork data and prepare technical reports
* Liaise with clients, landowners, and statutory consultees
Requirements:
* Relevant Science or Engineering degree
* Membership/Chartered Status with a relevant professional body/institute
* At least four years of experience in Environmental Consultancy
* Good working knowledge of EU and Irish legislation on environmental compliance
* Ambitious drive to succeed
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to travel when required
* Excellent communication skills
