Our client is a well-established, thriving organisation operating in the Construction sector for over 60 years.
With multiple ongoing projects, they are in an expansion phase and as a result require a commercially focused accountant to join their team.
Reporting to the CFO & Operations Director, the accountant will play a key role in the continued development of the business.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with all departments and senior leadership to communicate financial information Oversee and uphold the accuracy of accounting software, while participating in its ongoing enhancement.
Assist in compiling monthly management accounts and preparing reports for the senior leadership team.
Play a key role in the creation and oversight of financial systems and policies.
Evaluate costs and revenues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
Ensure compliance with revenue regulations across the business, including taxes, VAT, and RCT.
Assist in facilitating the annual audit process.
Build expertise in specific construction finance matters and provide support as needed.
Offer assistance to the payroll department in its operations.
Experience: Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years accountancy experience Experience within the construction sector is an advantage Proficiency in IT systems, particularly with MS Excel and Accounting Software packages.
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks.
Ability to work on own initiative and also be a key team member.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
