A highly sought-after opportunity exists for a Senior Facilities Engineer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing team. Essential experience includes AHU's, chillers, steam boilers, pumps, HVAC, and water system management.
Senior Facilities Engineer
Main Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and serve as the primary escalation point for all facilities equipment, building services, and general plant engineering.
* Maintain plant equipment in a safe manner, ensuring task-based risk assessments and/or safe plans of action are in place for all plant maintenance tasks.
* Coordinate and manage facilities service contractors on-site, guaranteeing clear plans are implemented and contractors adhere to EHS and GMP standards.
* Evaluate and maintain plant facilities according to quality management systems, completing GMP documentation in accordance with applicable procedures.
* Participate in regulatory audits and inspections.
* Support management of the annual maintenance program for all non-production equipment and plant facilities.
* Assist in capital expenditure projects and budget preparation for the plant maintenance department, including project costing.
* Conduct cost-benefit and feasibility studies to verify capabilities and functionality of processes, supporting project justifications.
* Promote collaboration with cross-functional teams from Operations, H&S, Quality, Process Development, Process Engineering, Supply Chain on various projects.
* Update documentation via the documentation control system.
* Foster energy reductions across the plant.
* Identify and protect any Intellectual Property aspects of development in conjunction with the Corporate Legal group.
* Engage in the site Continuous Improvement Programme.
* Ensure work completion adheres to both execution and documentation compliance standards.
* Perform other reasonable duties required by management from time to time.
Experience and Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or National Craft Certificate together with additional specialized training and experience.
* Familiarity with Building Management System.
* Strong engineering background with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* In-depth knowledge of engineering principles for plant equipment - AHU's, chillers, steam boilers, pumps, HVAC, water system management.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Highly collaborative work style.
* Strong planning and organizational ability.
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
* Track record in Project Management.
* Previous people management experience is an advantage.
