The Opportunity:
As a HR Generalist in Activ8, you will be a key member of the People Team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting employees and managers in providing expert guidance and assistance across a wide range of HR functions.
Responsibilities:
* Organise and promote well-being programmes, mental health resources, and engagement activities to support a healthy and motivated workforce.
* Updating and maintaining employee data in an accurate and timely manner.
* Produce regular and ad hoc reports, including absence management monitoring, probation tracking, and ongoing systems reconciliations.
* Seek to develop the use of HR systems to improve administrative processes and efficiency. An initial project will involve the setup of a new HRIS.
* Management and administration of statutory leave benefits, company health insurance, pension schemes, tax-efficient benefit schemes, and professional memberships.
* Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from employees and management in a positive and professional manner.
* Provide support on employee relations, including advising on policies, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
* Assist in performance management, including probation reviews, goal setting, and feedback processes.
* Support training and development initiatives, helping to identify employee learning needs and coordinate training programs.
* Evaluate compliance with HR policies and employment law, assisting in policy implementation and updates.
* Participate in various HR projects to drive continuous improvement and enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications/Key Skills:
* 3-5 years of experience in HR, with employee relations (ER) experience desirable.
* A HR qualification or CIPD certification is required.
* Previous experience in a HR generalist role is essential, along with experience using HR systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Strong focus on confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
* Highly thorough and detail-oriented.
* A self-motivated individual who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Experience supporting senior stakeholders in a complex corporate environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
