My client, an advisory firm focused on fire, security risk, and resilience, is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join their team. The role will report to the Associate Director and the Regional Director. As a senior member of staff, your main role will be to lead large, complex projects, support graduates & engineers with mentoring while adding technical excellence to BB7.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead large complex projects and tasks (such as RIBA Stage 4 & 5 packages, existing buildings, and external wall work) while utilising a team of engineers with support from the project manager when required.
2. Considerate and committed to commercial risk management and to Health, Safety & Wellbeing of associated team members.
3. Overseeing the team and supporting those superior (i.e. Associate and above).
4. Strive to deliver BB7’s values in all parts of work.
5. Contribute to technical excellence at BB7 – Full understanding of design codes, engineering principles and in different sectors, which is utilised externally and internally.
6. Generating a large portion of work required to contribute towards team target while maintaining effective working relationships internally and with clients.
7. Coaching & Mentoring to ensure effective teamwork and staff wellbeing. Reviewing and commenting on Graduate and Engineer’s work.
Required:
1. Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in an advisory firm is advantageous.
